An early supporter of Surge is now joining its Board.

Surge Institute is thrilled to announce that Liz Aybar Conti is joining our Board of Directors.  

Liz is an extraordinary leader whose work reflects the same values that define Surge’s mission. She's the CEO of the Margulf Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports leaders reimagining education. The Margulf Foundation works with youth, families, and communities to expand and improve learning opportunities for young people. A Denver native, she’s also spent years educating and guiding young people through her work as a teacher, school leader, coach, and education policy advisor.

Liz’s strategic mind, deep community insight, and commitment to equity make her a natural fit for the Surge Board of Directors.

What means even more is her long-standing love for and belief in Surge. The Margulf Foundation was one of the first anchor funders to stand with Surge, signaling not only trust in our work but a real investment in the brilliance of our leaders. Liz has championed Surge from day one, and she shows up with a rare combination of heart, humility, curiosity, and conviction.
